Q: How do I place an order at CarDoorGlass.com?
1. Select the make of your vehicle
2. Select the model of your vehicle
3. Select the glass location
4. Browse through the list to find the year of your vehicle
5. Once you found your part, add to cart
6. Enter your zip below to calculate shipping
7. Click Proceed to checkout when your ready to purchase


Q: What happens if my orders is shattered when I receive it?
If you receive your package and it sounds like gravel when you shake it, please refuse to accept the order and contact Fedex (1-800-463-3339) to submit a damage claim. Please have the tracking number ready to submit your claim.  From there, Fedex will contact us and we will send out another part immediately.


Q: How do I make a return?
To return an auto glass part, please log in your My Account page and compete the following steps.

1. Under the Track your recent orders, please click View Details link next to the order#.

2. Next, you'll see your invoice for this order.  Please click Add New RMA to start the return process.

3. From the drop down menus please select the Reason and Method of your return.

Please include in the My Comments section a detailed explanation why you are returning the order.

If you do not have your order number, please contact the Return & Exhchange Department via our Contact Us page with when your order was purchased and the full name ordered with.

All RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) numbers are e-mailed in 2-3 business days with a return shipping address and complete shipping instructions.

NO RETURNS will be accepted without an RMA number.  If the RMA number is not written on the outside of the shipping box, it will be refused and returned to you.  All returns must be postage paid.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.  All returns must be packaged properly; we are not responsible for damaged returns that occur as a result of improper packing.


Q: How do I know if Im getting the right glass for my car?
If  you're not sure which glass will fit your car, please contact our sales department via our Contact Us page. Be sure to include the year, make, model, body type, glass color, and glass location.


Q: How do I know what color tint is my glass?
For most car door glass windows have a green tint to them.  Most people would consider this clear, but if you hold a white piece of paper behind the glass you'll be able to see the color tint.  Other possible colors could be blue, light gray, bronze, or dark gray privacy. In rare ocassions, there is sometimes a mirror metallic finish to the glass.  If you are still not sure please Contact Us.


Q: Do you offer instructions on how to install a car door glass?
We do not offer any instruction with our auto glass windows, but you can buy instructions from our affiliate partner who specializes in complete car manuals.

Q: What kind of tools do I need to install my glass?
For most common door glass installations you will need socket wrench, torex, flat & phillips screwdrivers.  Please note that all cars have different variations in tool usage.  


Q: What is the difference between OEM and aftermarket(OEE) auto glass?
The difference between the OEM and aftermarket auto glass is that OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer) is made exclusively for automotive manufacturers and their dealerships.  These parts are made to a higher degree of tollerances according to each car manufacturer's specifications.  OEE (Original Equiment Equivalent) Aftermarket Glass is a copy of the orginal glass made for the repair market.  Most major OEM manufacturers also make glass for the aftermarket as well.  


Q: Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes, we do offer bulk pricing in orders of 200 pcs or more.  Please contact the sales department for more information.


Q: What if I can't find the glass for my car on your site?
If you can't find the glass for your car, please contact our sales department via our Contact Us page. Be sure to include the year, make, model, body type, glass color, and glass location.  We are constantly adding new parts to our site, and we possibly have not yet listed it yet.  If we do not have it in stock, we can definitely outsource it from one of our local vendors.   If you decide to take this route, we will send you a Google Checkout invoice via email so you can purchase the part.

Q: Do you offer installation services?
No, we do not offer installation services.  If you need someone to install for you we recommend finding a local auto repair shop, auto body shop, or auto glass shop through Google Maps.


Q: Do you sell front or back windshields?
Sorry, we do not sell front and back windshields.


Q: Can I ship to a seperate address besides my billing address?
Yes, you can ship to seperate address besides your billing address.  Only one exception is for Next Day Air shipments, which need to go to the exact same address as billing. 


Q: Do you ship order on the weekends?
Sorry, Fedex does not pickup shipments on the weekends.  It will go out the next business day.


Q: How long will it take to credit my account once you received my return?
It will take up to 21 days to see the refund reflected in your credit card.


Q: How do I get my tracking number for my order?
After your order is shipped you'll receive a tracking number email at the end of the shipping day.  If you still have not received a tracking number, check your spam inbox for the email or log in your account to find the tracking number.  If you still can't find it, please contact us. 


Q: Is your auto glass brand new?
Yes, all of our auto glass is new. We do not sell any used glass here.


Q: What if you ship the wrong part to me?
Although we do everything we can to get the correct part to you, unusual mistakes can happen. If we ship the wrong part, we will pick up the part or pay the return freight, and replace the part. Please let us know immediately if you receive the wrong part, by by submitting a ticket via our contact us page.


Q: Does your glass have the original logo (ie GM, Honda, Toyota, etc.)?
No, only place you can get glass with the manufacturer's logo is from the dealership.


Q: Do you offer rear truck slider windows?
We are planning to add these pretty soon, so check back with us!

Q: What is the difference between laminated glass and tempered glass?
Laminated glass is two sheet of glass sandwiched with a plastic interlayer in the middle.  Tempered glass is a single sheet of glass which heat tempered and cooled rapidly to create a stronger molecular structure.


Q: How can I tell if my door glass is laminated or tempered?
When you break laminated, it will crack like your front windshield and hold its shape.
When you break tempered, it will break into tiny little pieces and it will not hold its shape.


Q: How come my order does process even though I have money on my card?
Our system is setup so that it prevents majority of fraudulent activity.  You have to make sure that your billing information you entered is correct.  If there is any slight difference in a letter or number it will automatically reject the order.  Make sure that the billing address is the same address where you receive your statements.  If you're still having trouble please contact us.


Q: How come there is a charge on my card even though my order did not go through?
What you see is called a pending charge.  Your credit card company takes the amount that you charged as a security deposit until the order is fully captured on our side.  If our side doesn't capture it, your card company will put the amount taken out in a few days. 


Q: What do I do if Fedex loses or damage my order before it gets to me?
If this happens chances are Fedex will contact us about the matter and we will ship out another glass ASAP.
